Meet the Teacher




Hello, my name is Ms. Moon and I am in my second year as the music teacher at Dothan Brook School! My philosophy is that all students should have the opportunity to enjoy music. I LOVE teaching elementary music and all the creativity that goes into lesson planning, and giving children engaging, fun musical experiences.

 Background:
I grew up in Rochester, NH (the Seacoast area of NH), and attended the University of New Hampshire for both my BA and MAT in music. Music has always been a huge part of my life. I sang all the time growing up and played the piano. In high school I was in chorus, marching band, and drama club. Currently I enjoy playing the ukulele and have written and recorded two studio albums.

    Thank you Jack! I am now teaching in Kittery, Maine and my new blog for there is mitchellschoolmusic.blogspot.com. I did teach a week of Rio in Kittery as part of 2nd grade's culture unit. 😊
